Important Mixing & Installation Information

Installation Detail

Product Information

Mix Ratio

2 parts Part A to 1 part Part B by volume

Mixing Time

Mix for 3–4 minutes using a slow-speed drill and suitable mixing paddle

Maximum Batch Size

Mix no more than 3 gallons at one time

Working Time

Approximately 30 minutes at 75°F after the material has been spread

Typical Metallic Coverage

Approximately 65 sq. ft. per gallon

3-Gallon Kit Coverage

Approximately 195–200 sq. ft. when applied at 65 sq. ft. per gallon

High-Build Clear Coverage

As low as approximately 30 sq. ft. per gallon

Solid-Color Coverage

Approximately 100–200 sq. ft. per gallon

Metallic Pigment

Use compatible metallic pigment according to the pigment instructions; one pigment container is typically used per 3-gallon kit

Concrete Preparation

Diamond grind or shot blast to produce a clean, porous and uniform surface comparable to approximately 60-grit sandpaper

Primer Requirement

Apply over a compatible 100% solids epoxy or moisture-control primer; a similarly colored background coat is recommended for metallic installations

Concrete Cure Time

Concrete must be cured for at least 28 days

Application Temperature

55°F–90°F

Concrete Relative Humidity

Below 80% when tested according to ASTM F2170

Direct-Application Moisture Limit

Moisture vapor emission should not exceed 4.5 lb./1,000 sq. ft./24 hr. without an appropriate moisture-control system

Recoat Window

Recoat after the surface is dry to the touch and within 24 hours

Exterior Use

Intended for interior use unless protected with a compatible pigmented, UV-resistant coating

Important: Disperse the metallic pigment completely into Part A before adding Part B. After mixing Parts A and B, immediately pour the material onto the prepared floor and begin spreading. Do not leave mixed epoxy in the container because heat buildup can rapidly shorten its working time.

Coverage, working time, cure time and finished appearance are approximate and will vary with temperature, humidity, film thickness, pigment selection, primer color, application technique and jobsite conditions. Prepare a representative sample before installation and review the current Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheets before use.
